Daily Thoughts - 02/26/2014

Daily Thoughts: Faith is staking your life on the promises of God! “They came bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. Unable to get near Jesus because of the crowd, they opened up the roof above him. After they had broken through, they let down the mat on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic... “I say to you, rise, pick up your mat, and go home.”  He rose, picked up his mat at once, and went away in the sight of everyone.”” (Mark 2: 3-5,11)

Faith moves mountains and mole hills, faith heals, faith changes life. We are people of faith, we are a community of faith called, Church, called the Body of Christ. So let’s be people of faith, who stake our lives on the promises of God. Let’s be good family, good friends, good people of faith and bring those in need of healing, in need of anything to God, to Jesus, to the Holy Spirit. Even if we have to open up the roof to get them in let’s show Jesus today that we have faith and because of that faith we need our friends, our family healed!

In faith I am bringing my niece, Mindy and my nephew Paul to Jesus today for healing. Who are you bringing? Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul

Daily Prayer: Loving God, we do believe, help our unbelief! Amen!

Runner’s Thoughts: It's important to know that at the end of the day it's not medals or where we finished that we should remember. What we need to remember is the process, the journey – what we learn about ourselves, about our relationship with God by challenging ourselves, the experiences we share with other people, the honesty that training, that prayer demands – these are things to remember because nobody can take them away from us whether we finish last or first.

Daily Blessing: My prayer of blessing today is a prayer asking for healing. O God, I pray today bringing before you all who need your healing touch. Grant my friends, my family and all who ask for my prayers, comfort in their struggles. If they are afraid give them courage. If they are afflicted, ill, struggling, depressed, confused, frustrated give them patience. If they are dejected afford them hope. If they feel alone assure them of your presence and my prayers and the prayers of many. Bless them with your healing. Amen! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul
